BEYOND PRODUCE

What Cheer Fruit & Produce primarily distributes produce, but we also deliver farm-made and small batch provisions made in Massachusetts and Vermont. Here you'll find photos and descriptions of those items:

CHAMPLAIN ORCHARDS CIDER
Shoreham, Vermont

Champlain Orchards cider is made from a seasonally changing blend of the best apple varieties. The cider is always refreshing with a crisp, sweet taste. Their cider is made from eco-conscious apples, and nothing but apples! Gallons, half gallons, and pints are available.

FULL SUN CANOLA AND SUNFLOWER OIL
Hardwick, Vermont

The mission of Full Sun is to provide the demand for Vermont-grown canola and sunflowers. Another goal is to create flavorful oils for New England kitchens. They currently bottle non-gmo canola and sunflower oils, using crops grown out of state, in 16.9 oz retail bottles and gallons.

BONNIEVIEW FARM CHEESE
Craftsbury Common, Vermont

What Cheer sells Bonnieview Farm's cheese by the wheel. They are a neighbor of Pete's Greens in Craftsbury, Vermont. Currently we have three of their cheeses on our list. All three of these cheeses are made from BOTH cow and sheep's milk. Coomersdale (6lb) is a semi-hard cheese that is similar to a young pecorino. Ben Nevis (2lb) uses the same recipe as the Coomersdale, but it comes in a smaller, square "wheel." Mossend Blue (6lb) is a not-so-pungent, but flavorful, blue cheese.

CHAMPLAIN ORCHARDS CIDER SYRUP
Shoreham, Vermont

Available in 12 oz and gallon containers, this apple syrup is the best you've tasted! Made from eco-consciousapples, this syrup is made similarly to maple syrup by boiling off the water present in the cider. Cider syrup was born in New England, and it deserves to be better known!

FOUR STAR FARMS CORN MEAL
Northfield, Massachusetts

This corn meal is available for Wednesday deliveries only, because Four Star Farms mills everything to order every Tuesday. Like their flour and wheat berries (listed below), this corn meal is fresh! Golden yellow and pale yellow meal is available in two grinds: corn flour (fine, soft flour) and course corn meal (larger grit). Comes packed in 50lb, 25lb, 10 x 5lb, and 12 x 2lb cases.

TANGLETOWN FARM EGGS
West Glover, Vermont

These eggs are rich and flavorful; farmers eat these eggs! Packed by the 15 dozen, they are available in either retail dozens or in a bulk box. Tangletown has a mission to bring local food into Vermont cafeterias. They aren't certified organic, but their hens forage outdoors for most of the year and are fed Vermont-grown/organically-grown, feed in the winter.

FOUR STAR FARMS FLOUR and WHEAT BERRIES

Four Star Farms flour is milled to order the day before delivery to your business (only available for Wednesday deliveries). This is the freshest flour available! Eight grains are available milled to bolted (sifted) flour or whole grain flour. Wheat berries are also available for most varieties. Currently, the following grains are available in 50lb, 25lb, 10x5lb, or 12x2lb cases: Barley, Glenn, Oat, Richland, Spelt, Triticale, Warthog, and Zorro.

OLD FRIENDS FARM GINGER SYRUP
Amherst, Massachusetts

Made with their own ginger, this syrup is great in cocktails, dressings, baked goods, and more. Certified organic and sold in blue glass bottles. Available in cases of 12x11oz.

HOSTA HILL FERMENTS
Housatonic, Massachusetts

Hosta Hill's lacto-fermented veggies are crunchy, flavorful, and beautiful! They grow what they can themselves, and the rest is bought locally from organic farms. The kimchi and gochu curry kraut are recent Good Food Award winners. Their ferments are unpasteurized and sold in glass jars. Available in cases of 6x32oz and 12x16oz.

INVISIBLE CITIES APIARY
Amherst, Massachusetts

This honey is raw, local, minimally-filtered, and produced by hives managed without pesticides or medications. The packaging and name are both especially lovely too!

FUNGI ALLY
Hadley, Massachusetts

Shiitake, oyster, and lion's mane are currently available in 3lb or 4lb cases year-round from Fungi Ally. Retail clamshells are also available. Seasonally, they forage for other varieties including hen-of-the-woods and chicken-of-the-woods.

NEXT BARN OVER POPCORN
Hadley, Massachusetts

Organic certified, this red popcorn pops well every time. Next Barn Over and Winter Moon Roots share a barn and rotate farm fields between summer and storage crops. Available in 25lb bags.

KITCHEN GARDEN SRIRACHA
Sunderland, Massachusetts

This sriracha is naturally fermented and farm-made by Kitchen Garden Farm using their own hot peppers. It's a staple in many kitchens, and it makes a great gift! Currently regular and habanero varieties are available. Sold in cases of 12x8oz or by the gallon.

VERMONT SWITCHEL
Cabot, Vermont

Switchel, made from apple cider vinegar, ginger, lemon juice, molasses, and maple syrup, is refreshing and thirst-quenching. Can also be served hot or mixed in cocktails. Vermont is the home of switchel, and this is the real thing! Bottled in 32oz mason jars (case of 6) and 12oz bottles (case of 24).

HOSTA HILL TEMPEH
Housatonic, Massachusetts

The tempeh from Hosta Hill has a much more interesting texture and it arrives frozen rather than pasteurized. Soy and soy + quinoa are available. The soy and quinoa are 100% organic and non-GMO. It is sold by the pound (case of 10) or half pound (case of 20).
